About
Cuberg is commercializing a next-generation battery to power the future of electric mobility. The battery delivers a generational improvement in energy density and safety compared to the best lithium-ion batteries in the world today. The technology, based on a groundbreaking non-flammable liquid electrolyte combined with a lithium metal anode, fully leverages the robust lithium-ion manufacturing base to minimize time to market. Cuberg's product is ideally suited to power the next generation of electric vehicles on the ground and in the air.  Cuberg has secured over $12M in funding from private investments and grants, including from: Boeing HorizonX Ventures, the California Energy Commission, the Department of Energy, the National Science Foundation, CalSEED, and the U.S. Air Force and Army. The company spun out of the materials science department at Stanford in 2016 and was initially supported by the TomKat Center for Sustainable Energy at Stanford. Cuberg graduated from the prestigious Cyclotron Road entrepreneurial fellowship program at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in 2018.
