West Dunbartonshire Council serves 89,590 residents and a lively business community in an area stretching from the banks of Loch Lomond to the shores of the Clyde. The region is one of great diversity and natural beauty and is just half an hour from the heart of Glasgow.\r\n\r\nThe area also has a rich heritage, shaped by its world-famous shipyards, and boasts attractions including the iconic Titan Crane and Dumbarton Rock.\r\n\r\nThere is huge potential for growth and a £100million capital investment programme is underway which is regenerating town centres, developing new public buildings, constructing hundreds of homes and attracting businesses to improve the economy.\r\n\r\nIn the last 12 months, the Council has opened a new multi-million pound leisure centre, a state of the art care home and two new schools. A new secondary school and an education campus are currently being developed.
