That takes us one step closer to our dream — We believe that the coexistence of humans and intelligent machines are the next steps of evolution. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT The company's major research and development are focusing on ‘'Smart Robotic Manipulators'' and sub researches going on in the fields of ‘'Mobile Robots, Tele-presence Robots, Robot Interfacing and Simulation Software, Robot APIs, Open source Robotic libraries and Prosthetic Robotic Arm''. MARKET The demand for robots and related products are growing at a tremendous rate, accelerating the research in this area. The industrial robots available now in the market are bulky and need a huge initial investment which is not accessible for researchers and SMEs (small and medium enterprises). So there exists a gap between the demand and available resource in this field; Sastra Robotics aims to fill this gap by developing low cost - lightweight industrial robots which is easily accessible to researchers and can be deployed at minimal initial cost by SMEs. Global robot installations are estimated to increase at least by about 15% to 205,000 units in 2014. An even higher increase is possible if the global economic situation improves. Robot supplies in Asia/Australia will increase by 21%, while robot sales in Europe& US will rise by 6%. At the end of 2017, it is estimated that about 2 million industrial robots will be installed in factories worldwide. For more info, please visit: http://www.sastrarobotics.com/
