Big Dog Ranch Rescue was founded on the idea that every dog deserves to live and, most importantly, to live a full and happy life. We are devoted to creating a healing community for dogs, both big and small, who have been neglected, abandoned, and mistreated.
Big Dog Ranch Rescue was founded in 2009; since then, we have saved the lives of more than 40,001 dogs. Our mission is to save 5,000 dogs every year, to heal and place them with loving families and to educate people about the proper care for dogs and the importance of spaying and neutering.
Big Dog Ranch Rescue is a uniquely structured, designed, and effective organization. We are a vibrant, 33-acre, cage-free campus -designed and constructed to meet the needs of large and small rescued dogs of all breeds. From puppies to seniors, Big Dog Ranch Rescue is a loving, transitional home. With over a decade of professional and careful planning, our Founder & President, Lauree Simmons, has “re-imagined†the entire process from rescue to placement - creating a community and dog lover’s destination.
A healthy dog is a happy dog - and a happy dog is a welcome pet.
Big Dog Ranch Rescue guests begin their stays with vaccinations, comprehensive medical and dental evaluations including spay/neuter/microchip followed by appropriate treatment and therapy. Emergency and urgent care is provided on campus by our expert team.
We have world-class veterinarians, caregivers, and state-of-the-art intake and quarantine facilities which provide gold-standard routine and life-saving services to injured and ill dogs. We also provide specialty surgery when needed.
Help support the thousands of animals who come through our gates every year. Recurring monthly donations support our long-term planning and help keep our administration costs down. Please consider making your donation a recurring monthly gift. Big Dog Ranch Rescue is a non profit. 100% of donations go towards our rescue and our dogs.
