The primary responsibility of a youth worker (someone who serves students primarily in a ministry context) is to support families by providing a safe environment for a student to be themselves and seek healthy relationships and guidance for their lives. The primary way youth workers spend their time is preparing for weekly programs/events in an attempt to create that safe environment. Because youth workers are typically under-resourced, financially and relationally, they often spending a disproportionate amount of time on logistics rather than in relationships. That resource goes through a light-weight vetting and editing process then is published on the DYM store. That youth worker will receive, on average, 50% royalty on every unit sold. This model enables fresh, affordable, and seasonally- or culturally-relevant content year-round, which is critical for the youth worker connecting with his/her audience (teenagers).
