The Institute for Applied Ecology is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1999. Our vision is for people and wildlands to interact positively and meet environmental challenges with research-based techniques and hands-on community support. As of 2018, our 30 full-time staff manage 66 restoration sites, have planted thousands of native plants, and reached 390 Willamette Valley students and 3000+ inmates and juveniles with ecology lessons.
