Aid Sudan is committed to the vision of aiding in growing strong southern Sudanese communities committed to serving Jesus Christ. In southern Sudan, this is lived out through the Genesis Project, a project adopted by Aid Sudan in reference to a time of new beginning for southern Sudan. The Genesis Project encompasses four pillars of life in southern Sudan: water, education, health, and the church. On each trip to Sudan, Aid Sudan always focuses on education, health, and the church, while aiming when possible to also include work in the area of water. For Sudanese going on the trip, many of whom have not returned to Sudan in fifteen or twenty years, it is a time to reunite with family and friends. For them, the trips carry very special meaning, as they share the Good News of the gospel and work towards community development in their own home area. Aid Sudan takes 3-4 mission trips a year, working in six different target locations. These locations are spread out all over southern Sudan. In each location, we seek to partner with at least one other organization that already has existing work in the area.
