Our ambition is simple: to be the world's most respected naval museum, underpinned by a spirit of enterprise and adventure. Here at the National Museum of the Royal Navy we protect and share the stories of the Royal Navy, bringing their adventurous spirit to the forefront of public knowledge. In 2014 the museum will allow visitors to walk through and experience 400 years of naval history. A journey starting in 1805, at the Battle of Trafalgar on board HMS Victory and ending in our 20th and 21st century galleries which opened in April 2014.
