Founded in 1945 and incorporated in 1952, The Guild for Human Services treats individuals diagnosed with mild to severe intellectual disabilities, autism and behavioral/mental health challenges.\n\nThe Guild operates a private, special-education school in Concord that serves 85 students ages 6-22; eight group homes for 65 youth in neighboring communities; and 11 residential homes for 55 adults throughout Eastern Massachusetts.\n\nThe mission of The Guild is to educate, encourage and empower individuals with intellectual disabilities so they may achieve their full potential to lead high-quality lives and participate meaningfully in society.\n\nThe Guild is led by Chief Executive Officer Amy C. Sousa, PhD, who joined the organization in September 2017. She had been executive director of Boston-based Wediko Children’s Services for five years and earlier served as executive director of the National Organization for Victim Assistance.
