History
On November 26, 1971, Washington State's Secretary of State approved Articles of Incorporation for Clallam County Center for Mental Health and Retardation. In early 1972, the organization's name was changed to Peninsula Counseling Center. In April 1991, the agency was formally renamed Peninsula Community Mental Health Center.
On March 30, 2012, we became Peninsula Behavioral Health. Although we have always existed as a private, not-for-profit community mental health center, our name changes have reflected both expansion of our mission and a more sophisticated public perception of our role within the community.
