Usibelli Coal Mine, Inc. (UCM) is a third generation family owned business founded in 1943 by Emil Usibelli and the only operational coal mine in Alaska. UCM produces approximately 1.5 million tons per year of subbituminous C coal delivered to six Interior Alaska power plants and exports to South Korea and South America.
