In the year 2000, Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) celebrated 100 years of service as an institution of higher learning. Founded in 1900 in Saratoga Springs, New York, ENC moved to its present location, Quincy, Massachusetts, in 1919. ENC is a fully accredited, co-educational, liberal arts college serving students who desire preparation for service and leadership in an environment of vital Christianity. ENC is one of eight liberal arts colleges and universities supported by the Church of the Nazarene in the U.S. The denomination also sponsors nearly 40 Bible colleges and other institutions of higher learning in various international areas. The denomination's commitment to Christian education is an important component of its service to humankind. ENC is also a member of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU).
