The Yale Investments Office manages the university's endowment and related assets to support the operating budget for current scholars and preserve purchasing power for future generations. Led by Chief Investment Officer David F. Swensen, Yale's breakthrough ideas and initiatives in endowment investment have influenced universities and foundations around the world.
Totaling $30.3 billion as of June 30, 2019, Yale's well-diversified, equity-oriented portfolio consists of investments in domestic equity, foreign equity, fixed income, absolute return, leveraged buyouts, venture capital, real estate, and natural resources.
