A predecessor company to AmSurg was in the business of consulting with physicians in the development, licensing and Medicare certification of single specialty, practice-based outpatient or ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). Repeatedly, those physicians voiced the desire for a company to be their business partner, risk partner and financial partner.
