The Sydney Symphony Orchestra is a premier orchestra in the Asia Pacific Region. The Orchestra is resident at the Sydney Opera House performing around 150 concerts a year to audiences of more than 350,000. The Orchestra tours internationally and throughout regional New South Wales. Chamber Music, Emerging Artists Programs, Special and Community Events, Music Teacher Training are but a few of the activities undertaken by the Company. Our new Chief Conductor and Artistic Director David Robertson shares the Orchestra's passion for excellence, exploration and innovation in all things musical. What other Symphony Orchestra can boast an artistic leader who spends his spare time mastering the fabulous Fender Stratocaster guitar.
