About
The Mary Lee Foundation is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization providing diverse homes and services to individuals in need. The overriding goal of Mary Lee Foundation is to move individuals with physical, mental and emotional disabilities toward independent life in the community after having equipped them with the social, emotional, and vocational skills necessary for survival in the world. Our programs include: AFFORDABLE HOUSING: 215 affordable apartments are home to Austin's seniors, veterans, adults with disabilities, individuals and families with very low income, and adults experiencing near homelessness. Full time case managers are available to assist residents with applications for food stamps, medical care, special transit, attendants, and other needs. FOOD PANTRY: On average 270 individuals a month access our onsite food pantry, which is available weekly to all tenants, easing their food insecurities and providing needed nutrition. ADULT DISABILITY SERVICES: Over 100 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are cared for through our State licensed Intermediate Care Facilities, Home and Community-Based Services and Texas Home Living programs. DAYBREAK ACTIVITY CENTER: Monday through Friday, our community building hosts a day program for approximately 70 adults with disabilities. BRAIN INJURY SERVICES: Annually, our licensed Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center and extended care programs help over 40 adult survivors regain everyday living and job skills lost as a result of a brain injury or other neurological disorder.
