About
Founded in 2006 in Melbourne, Australia, Creature Technology Co. has built an awesome reputation for creating the most life-like giant-sized animatronic creatures in the world. It all started with the amazing dinosaurs for the incredibly successful Walking with Dinosaurs - The Arena Spectacular that set the benchmark for large-scale animatronic live entertainment. This was followed by yet more amazing projects including: How to Train Your Dragon for DreamWorks; a talking 8-metre-tall animatronic Statue of Liberty for the Rockettes New York Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall; and the three remarkable mascots for the XXII Olympic Winter Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies in Sochi, witnessed by billions. More recently, Creature Technology Co. created the fearsome King Kong for the new Universal Orlando Resort theme park attraction Skull Island: Reign of Kong, and the dinosaurs for the phenomenal Jurassic World: The Exhibition international tour, that has already been seen by more than 1 million people at The Field Museum in Chicago; The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia; Melbourne Museum in Australia and the Cite Du Cinema in Paris, France. In November this year, the musical King Kong will arrive in New York City at the Broadway Theatre. The undisputed star of a theatrical show that leaves audiences utterly amazed, the Kong puppet was designed and built by Creature Technology Co. in our Melbourne workshop and remains one of our most innovative creations. He really does have to be seen to be believed in this production by Global Creatures and Roy Furman.
