About
Extens is a private equity firm dedicated to eHealth in Europe. It was created by a management team that brings together entrepreneurial success in health software and growth capital performance. Based in Paris, the investment team now has five members, including four partners: Arnaud Houette and Quentin Jacomet, its two founding members, Dominique Mercier and Cédric Berger, as well as an investment director: Valentine Deramecourt. Extens is intended to invest as a reference shareholder mainly. Its investments, ranging from € 2 to 10m, are geared towards profitable SMEs with sales of more than € 2m. These SMEs are selected for their value creation potential through the development of supply, geographic expansion or the implementation of strategic partnerships. The focus on e-health aims at a detailed knowledge of the market, of its actors, of its opportunities, of its risks and thus to target the investments, to accompany efficiently the companies of the portfolio and to help them to maximize their valuation in the perspective of the future divestment. Extens wants to be actively involved in monitoring its portfolio by supporting strategic thinking, creating business opportunities and helping management to anticipate operational issues related to strong growth. To date, Extens has acquired minority stakes in Enovacom (interoperability software) sold to Orange Santé in February 2018; Kayentis (data collection of clinical trials); Must Computer (ERP for homecare); Snal (cloud solutions for liberal nurses); Discngine (solutions for research of life sciences companies), Teranga software (patient record for retirement houses) and Bow medical (solutions for anesthesia and resuscitation).
