About
Montessori For All (MFA) endeavors to open and lead free, high performing, authentic Montessori schools that partner with families to help children in diverse communities reach their extraordinary potential intellectually, emotionally, socially, culturally, creatively, and physically, so that they can pursue lives full of meaning and joy. MFA opened its first school in Austin, TX, in 2014, and aims to open two additional schools in Texas before pursuing national expansion. At our flagship school, Magnolia Montessori For All, we currently serve students from pre-K3 through 6th grade, blending the best practices of high performing charter schools with Montessori methods. Our strategic plan calls for opening each school with 300 students in grades pre-K3 through 3rd. A grade level is added each year until capacity is reached at 8th grade with 600 students. Expansion plans for Magnolia Montessori For All, and for Redbud Montessori For All (San Antonio) are presently on hold, yet our mission to influence public ISDs is already seeing results, with Wynn Elementary (Austin ISD) and Steele Elementary (San Antonio ISD) opening their first public Montessori programs this year. MFA's non-profit organization also staffs an infant and toddler community (El Oso) on our Magnolia Montessori For All campus in order to close the achievement gap as early as possible. Intentionally located in high-needs neighborhoods, MFA intends to be a powerful change agent and leader in improving educational practices and outcomes.
