The district has taken strong, positive steps toward achieving the goal of becoming the best urban school district in the nation. Superintendent Melody Johnson and the Board of Education instituted VISION 2010 - a series of initiatives that will redesign, transform and revitalize Fort Worth ISD schools. Resources have been reallocated across the district for maximum impact in the classroom. Lead content teachers have been selected in every secondary school.
