Betolar's technology turns different waste streams from the energy, mining and forestry industry into environmentally friendly geopolymer concrete. These materials are known to perform as well or even better than conventional Portland cement-based concrete, having been used already in ancient Roman and Egyptian buildings. The cement industry alone creates up to 7% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Replacing concrete with geopolymer concrete has the potential to cut CO2 emissions by up to 90%.
