eMetric is a niche provider of online assessment and reporting solutions for K-12 education. We empower educators and decision-makers at all levels – state, district, school, and classroom – with rich insight into assessment data. Our story started in 2000 when Dr. Huixing Tang founded eMetric with the belief that data analytics is a powerful tool that should not be reserved for use by only data scientists and data gurus. He wanted all educators to be able to interact with assessment data in a meaningful way. This vision inspired the creation of Data Interaction™, a robust, dynamic reporting and data warehousing system way ahead of its time. Data Interaction has since been adopted by multiple states and leading test publishers. As eMetric grew, so did the field’s need to transition from paper/pencil testing to online testing and from conventional test items to technology enhanced item types. After substantial research and design efforts, the iTester™ platform was born. iTester provides sophisticated item authoring capabilities within an easy-to-use interface and supports secure assessment delivery on a wide range of operating systems and devices. At eMetric we love what we do and are committed to helping educators improve student outcomes. Our team is a talented group of technology specialists, software developers, psychometricians, and operations experts.
