While existing social media are important tools facilitating our social and professional interactions, none are designed to exact change like aSuggestion. The original inspiration of aSuggestion is to become the medium through which employees can offer commentary to honestly and sincerely suggest improvements for daily function in the workplace. A critical aspect of this communication is the ability to offer your suggestions anonymously, thereby encouraging the "suggestor" to speak freely and honestly. Unlike your handwritten suggestion left in the company suggestion box, aSuggestion ensures that your suggestions--be they minor or relatively major--are delivered without fear of reprisal. With freedom, however, comes the responsibility of self-governance. aSuggestion is not designed for the exchange of fiery or hateful posts, and such posts will be removed. Further, suggestors need always consider the perspective of the reader. If one truly wishes to improve the workplace and to create an open forum to exchange ideas, constructive criticism is required (remember catching more flies with honey than vinegar?).
