We've been in the audio video business a long time. In the early days, a stereo system was a pretty simple thing. But home theater surround sound systems - with Blu Ray DVD players, Dolby Digital®, DTS, powered subwoofers, dipole surrounds and center channel speakers - changed all that. A high quality 5.1 surround sound system is complicated and expensive and it takes up a lot of space. "Home theater in a box" systems are often simplified. But they also tend to sound more like a table radio or a boom box than a high-quality audio system. ZVOX single-cabinet surround sound systems provide the ultimate in simplicity - but still deliver incredible sound, for music, movies or regular TV shows. We have had a number of customers tell us that ZVOX audio systems make it easier for their hearing-impaired family members to enjoy television programs. Simply put, they can hear audio - especially the spoken word - more clearly, without having to turn up TV volume to the "blast 'em out" level.
