What Is Zero Waste Scotland?

We are a facilitator and enabler of change, we help to reduce waste, increase energy efficiency and promote responsible water use – all as part of a journey towards a low-carbon, sustainable economy. Our priorities are: 1. Supporting a circular economy 2. Harnessing the value of recycling 3. Transforming attitudes to food waste 4. Reducing the impacts of litter 5. Implementing resource efficiency savings 6. Accelerating the development of low carbon heat We deliver the Resource Efficient Scotland programme and the Recycle for Scotland campaign. We manage the Love Your Clothes and Love Food Hate Waste campaigns within Scotland. Zero Waste Scotland is funded by the Scottish Government to support the delivery of its Zero Waste Plan and other low carbon and resource efficiency policy priorities.
