The mission of Youth Job Center is, “Success for young people, in the workplace and in life.” Youth Job Center envisions a future where all young people have the support to build a meaningful career and fulfill their potential, and for the last 36 years the agency has worked to make that vision a reality. Youth Job Center is a leading youth workforce agency in Cook County, annually serving more than 2,000 clients across Chicagoland. YJC offers a continuum of services to guide young job seekers at every stage of their career development and employment process and Youth Job Center services include: • job training and placement • personalized career advising • work-based learning programs • retention and career advancement supports • wraparound social-emotional services All YJC programs provide training for youth to successfully enter the workforce. Youth are given the opportunity to explore potential career paths, identify their strengths, develop soft skills, research fields of interest, and build their network to support progress toward their desired future.
