Youth Homes of Mid-America Revenue and Competitors

Youth Homes of Mid-America has been in existence since 1943 when it was called the YMCA Boys Home of Iowa. The founder and primary financial supporters of the organization were Hobart and Alta Ross. They believed, "When you get involved with helping youth you have to see it through, you cannot go part way." Since our inception, YHMA has offered structured programs for youth with severe behavioral, emotional, and educational difficulties. The goal of YHMA is to effect a positive change in each youth's life so that he/she is able to return and function successfully in life in the community--either in their own home an family, an adoptive home and family, or for some of our older youth, in supervised independent apartment living. YHMA prides ourselves on decades of committed service and on an extraordinary history during which we have shown an impressive ability to change as needed while remaining true to our core values and beliefs.
