What Is Yolo County Mental Health Svc?

The Yolo County Children's Alliance serves as the Yolo County Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council and is responsible for raising public awareness about child abuse and neglect and for educating the community about child abuse prevention. The Council also assists the Yolo County Board of Supervisors in the evaluation of proposals by local agencies and organizations to provide child abuse prevention, intervention and treatment services and makes recommendations to the Board for the award of contracts in Yolo County. The YCCA Policy Council also serves as the Alcohol Drug and Mental Health Services Department's CSOC, or Children's Systems of Care, Policy Council for Yolo County, supporting and giving direction to the program. The YCCA is governed by a 45 member Policy Council which includes representatives of state and local government, the county health, mental health, welfare, housing and transportation agencies, non-profit organizations, education, the business sector, and the community. A thirteen member Executive Committee, (the Board), of the Policy Council is responsible for day to day management. The Yolo County Children's Alliance was incorporated in March 2003 and is a 501 ( c ) 3 California public benefit corporation.
