WHO WE ARE: The YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Area is the area’s leading nonprofit strengthening our community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Across our area, the Y engages over 15,000 men, women and children – regardless of age, income or background – to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the area’s health and well-being and provide opportunities to give back and support neighbors. Anchored by four main facilities (Downtown Cedar Rapids, Marion, Stoney Point and Mercy Fitness Plaza), in addition to the Marion Independent School and Camp Wapsie locations, the Y partners with 38 local nonprofit agencies, while giving back more than $1.2 million per year to give all community members a chance to improve their lives. With over 150 years of operation in the area, the YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Area has the long-standing relationships and physical presence not just to promise, but to deliver, lasting personal and social change. OUR CAUSE: At the Y, strengthening community is our cause.
