YES Prep is a free, open-enrollment public school for students in 6th-12th grade. We are one of the top-performing public school systems in Houston and have earned Exemplary and Recognized ratings every year of operation. Graduates from YES have already been accepted to over 215 colleges and universities around the country like Harvard, University of Texas, Texas A&M, Stanford and Yale, and most of these students are the first in their family to go to college. YES teachers are committed to doing Whatever It Takes to help students succeed. Each teacher carries a cell phone so that you can contact them after regular school hours. The school day is longer than normal which gives you the chance to participate in fantastic after-school activities like sports, dance, arts clubs, and other opportunities. There are rewards for doing well, including monthly field trips and week-long spring trips to different areas of the country. By senior year, you will have visited California, Washington D.C., West Texas, the Midwest, and many other exciting places. YES Prep has very high expectations for its students.
