The cornerstone of the “vision” for the Wyandanch community is the revitalization of its downtown, along Straight Path, consistent with the needs and desires of a vibrant, ethnically and culturally diverse community. The goal is to achieve the sustainable economic revitalization of Wyandanch. This holistic approach to economic development includes ensuring that the residents of Wyandanch derive direct benefits from the revitalization of their community. We are focused on job preparedness, vocational training, apprenticeships, mentoring, financial literacy and adult education. We have GED classes and have embraced the movement to get green jobs for all. Through our green jobs initiatives, downtown improvements and beautification efforts, we at the Wyandanch Community Resource Center are actively encouraging residents, small businesses and entrepreneurs alike to invest and help build a bright new future right here in Wyandanch.
