World of Books is a UK based company that sells quality used books at competitive prices to millions of customers worldwide each year. We love a good read and can relate to the excitement of a new page-turner or the familiar joy of an old favourite. Established by a group of dedicated book lovers, over the past 10 years World of Books has grown our shelves from 1,000 books to over 3 million in stock - so you can browse through hundreds of thousands of titles today. Our company was founded on an ethos to do good, to help charity shops and to make a positive impact. We are a circular economy, for profit company that supports charities and protects the planet by enabling more goods to be reused. We appreciate the positive impact a used book has on the environment. We dont believe that books should only be read once, or have a single owner. By choosing to buy a great value second-hand book, youre helping to continually recycle and share the love of literature in rereading and reusing it. This is why our prices are low and delivery is free - to help millions of used books find new homes in over 190 countries worldwide every year. World of Books purchases significant volumes of donated books from UK charities, taking the titles they dont want or havent got space for. So as well as preventing the destruction of perfectly good books, our customers are helping to support good causes too boosting revenues for these charities and saving them waste disposal costs. Our business model has generated over £12m for UK charities in the last 5 years. Where were unable to find a used book a new home, we ensure it doesnt go to waste, and instead goes on to become something else. We consider ourselves pioneers in the re-use and recycling of unwanted books, recycling 26,000 tonnes, about 70 million books each year, equivalent to 500,000 trees. All of our paper waste is recycled within the UK. https://www.worldofbooks.com/en-gb/about-us
