What Is Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia?
The Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia (WCB) is the province's provider of workplace injury insurance. We inform and inspire Nova Scotians in the prevention of workplace injury, but when it occurs, we support those whose lives it touches, fostering a timely and safe return to work. We also provide caring, compassionate support in the wake of workplace tragedy. The WCB is a dynamic organization of about 400 employees. The work we do is diverse, exciting and challenging, offering opportunities in a number of fields and professions. We are driven by a can-do attitude, and we strive to bring care and compassion to all we do. We are champions of workplace safety internally and externally as a workplace insurance provider for employers in Nova Scotia. We're also passionate about our employees: we offer competitive benefits, flexible work hours and professional development opportunities. We are proud to be one of Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures for 2013 presented by Waterstone Human Capital. We have also been named a Top Nova Scotia Employer for the fifth year in a row a Top Employer in Atlantic Canada for the fourth consecutive year. If not for the dedication and commitment of our employees, our union (NSGEU Local 55), and our leadership team, awards like these would not be possible. Workplace injury insurance
