What Is Whaling City Auto Group?
Whaling City Auto Group LLC proudly serves Southeastern Connecticut and Southern Rhode Island, including areas around Westerly, Stonington, Ledyard, Groton, New London, Waterford, Lyme, Old Saybrook, Essex, Westbrook, Colchester, Montville, Norwich, East Haddam, and Griswold. Ever since Filippo was a small child he was always around the automotive industry. His father was a General Manager of a Toyota, Jaguar, SAAB, Honda, Volkswagen, and Nissan Dealership; so as a child, Filippo was always in and out of the dealership. It didn't take long for him to realize that this was the path he wanted to be on. He loved the industry, admired his father, and knew he wanted to follow in his footsteps. Fresh out of high school, Filippo began his journey in the automotive industry. He first began in sales, then service, working his way up to a management position and eventually becoming the General Manager of a Chevrolet, Ford, Mazda, Hyundai, Volkswagen, and Nissan Dealership. Filippo was a General Manager for over 10 years when he met the previous owners, Chuck and Romana Primus. After being a General Manager for them for two years, Filippo was given the incredible opportunity to carry on their legacy and purchase Whaling City Motors while maintaining the Whaling City heritage as the Dealer Principal of the new Whaling City Auto Group. Filippo resides at his home in Rhode Island, where he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is committed to keeping Whaling City a place where customers enjoy their visits and get the highest level of automotive service. He looks forward to resuming relationships with our customers and building new relationships as well. He hopes that with the dedication of his Sales, Service, Parts, Reconditioning and Collision Repair staff that he will be able to continue to build the Whaling City dream. When you love what you do, it shows, and we want to show you the Whaling City Difference.
