The original founder began hauling freight by horse and wagon in 1907. He started a philosophy of commitment that has become a tradition at WEST. In 1988, that tradition passed to the company?s present owner, Albert L. Evans Jr., and his family. The Evans family has tradition of their own as founders of Evans Delivery Company, which was started by Albert Evans, Sr. in Pottsville, in 1939.
