esTower Communications was co- founded by Mr. Calvin Payne, PE, and Mr. Roy Jeffery in 1989 as a design / build tower company. Through a keen focus on quality, safety, engineering solutions and responsive customer service, WesTower has enjoyed consistent expansion of its services and market share. In 1997, the company completed an initial public offering followed by the acquisition of several key telecommunication design / build firms in the United States and Canada. The result was one of North America's largest such firm in terms of both sales and employees. In September of 1999, WesTower Communications merged with SpectraSite Communications, a large US tower owner. This powerful combination facilitated expansion on both sides on the border. On December 31, 2002 WesTower and SpectraSite Network Services were purchased by a small group of investors including the original co-founders. On January 1, 2009, WesTower expanded its services offering to include Professional Services through the hiring of key people having years of experience to organically grow this new service offering. On November 1, 2010 WesTower once again expanded its U.S. service offering to include Technical Services. WesTower has been providing Technical Services in Canada for a number of years. On April 1, 2011, WesTower was acquired by Exchange Income Corporation based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
