What Is WelMac Macadamia?

The Welgevonden macadamia farm covers a total of almost 850 hectares and is located in the rural Limpopo province in the Northern part of South Africa in an area where the macadamia industry dominates. About 13 years ago, the first macadamia trees were planted on the Welgevonden farm and now approximately 60 hectares are in production. Also, about 40 hectares of the farm are in production with mangoes and about 10 hectares with guavas. Within the next 3 years Welmac aims to plant macadamia trees on an additional 450 hectares and install modern ultra low flow (drip)irrigation on the entire orchards, bringing the annual yield to more than 3.000 tons.
