Watry is located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and occupies a 271,800 square foot plant employing over 225 people. Watry Industries utilizes technology to produce the best quality castings in the most efficient manner possible and is a major supplier to manufacturers around the country and the world. That is why Watry Industries remains the first choice, single source foundry of many casting buyers today. Watry Industries was founded by the late Nic Watry and his wife, Emelyne, in Campbellsport, Wisconsin in 1957. At that time, Nic had already established a reputation as one of the foremost engineers of his time in the design and production of permanent mold aluminum castings. As most start-up companies do, Watry began with a few employees in a garage-size facility. A year later, Earl and Celeste Hammett, Nic's daughter and son-in-law, joined the business. Mr. Watry single-handedly functioned as the Engineering, Production and Financial departments; Mr. Hammett was the Sales Department and Celeste and Emelyne performed the accounting functions. Through the determination, hard work and will to succeed of these two couples, Watry outgrew its Campbellsport facility. Late in 1959, the need for more manufacturing space, more skilled employees and better access to utilities led them to the current site in Sheboygan.
