What Is Washington Business Week?
Washington Business Week - a business education program for high school students- started by AWB (Association of Washington Business) and the Foundation for Private Enterprise Education in 1976. The magic of Business Week occurs annually on on university campuses and in several designated high school districts throughout the State and internationally in Poland. This is the place and environment where high school students participate in a hands-on educational model that engages, educates and empowers students to learn about business and entrepreneurial skills along with grow and develop life skills. And they have fun too! Students leave the the program ready to engage with more focus and intention in their continued pursuit of academic knowledge and go on to find careers that match with their passion and talents. Plus they develop life long friendships that help support their education and professional development for the rest of their lives. Business representatives (who coach the program's student led teams) learn about working with the next generation of business leaders and expand and practice their professional development and leadership skills. They also find that with the program starts life long connections with business leaders (today's and tomorrow's) that are with them for years to come.
