The Wadhwani Institute for Artificial Intelligence (Wadhwani AI) is an independent not-for-profit research institute founded by the Indian-American tech entrepreneurs Romesh and Sunil Wadhwani. It aims to harness the power of AI to find the break points that cause the worldￃﾢ￢ﾂﾬ￢ﾄﾢs deepest problems ￃﾢ￢ﾂﾬ￢ﾀﾝ and then find innovative solutions to fix them. The institute specializes in AI research conducted to address problems in public health, agriculture, education and infrastructure using techniques such as Machine Learning, Data Science, Cognitive Reasoning and IoT. It aims to position itself as a global hub for collaborations with leading academic centers, and other private foundations who are interested in leveraging AI as a force for social good. Wadhwani AI will work with government agencies, and non-governmental organizations to help identify needs and to implement and scale the solutions.
