Vision Data Equipment Corporation was incorporated in 1973 and entered full-time into the newspaper software business in 1976. During the past 27 years Vision Data has built its business based on Circulation, Display Ad Billing, and Receivables. We currently support over 900 publications, ranging from small newspapers with one or two users, to large publishing groups with 75 users and more. In 1997 Vision Data introduced Vision Total Advertising, the industry's first Integrated Classified and Display Ad Taking and Billing system utilizing a single database. This application, which now has roughly 150 installations, has been a major factor in strengthening Vision Data's position in the newspaper industry. One of the concepts that is upheld at Vision Data is that the Circulation, Display Ad Billing, Classified Ad Taking and all receivables should interact with each other as a unified business process. This concept has kept Vision Data ahead of competitors and is bringing in sales at a comfortable pace. Vision Data currently employs nearly 40 people, including engineers, analysts and support staff, providing custom modifications and constant updating to all our products.
