Established in 1928, the Loma Linda University Church of Seventh-Day Adventists is, by membership, the largest Adventist church in the world. Membership extends far beyond the “Blue-Zone” designated city of Loma Linda to include fellow believers not only in the United States, but throughout the world. The Loma Linda University Church is located on the campus of Loma Linda University and is associated with the Loma Linda University Medical Center, made famous by the groundbreaking baboon heart transplant patient, Baby Fae.
