These models are used to predict sound and vibration performance of complex products, such as vehicles, ships and aerospace structures, before physical prototypes are built. Such simulation allows you to assess critical dynamic/acoustic aspects in an early phase of product development. As a result, vibration problems can be solved up-front, instead of in the late and expensive phase of troubleshooting. Furthermore, numerical modelling and experimental measurement efforts can be integrated, enabling hybrid design strategies.
