What Is Universe?
We at Universe are building a virtual reality platform with collaborative tools and a database of interactive experiences to increase student engagement for online courses. We are defying reality as in today’s world, in order to get a high-quality education you are limited by geography, financial background, and other factors. Online learning is great because it's accessible and affordable but they lack engagement and have limited collaboration through discussion forums. The solution for these online courses is virtual reality meetings where students can collaborate in real-time and experience greater presence. The second element of VR is the experiences you can produce. You can make 3-dimensional interactive experiences that cannot be replicated in real life or on a computer. Our current app is a multi-user virtual reality app that runs on the Oculus Go headset. What we currently have working is a collaborative whiteboard, file viewer, file uploading web to VR system and are currently developing a chemistry lab experience. We are bridging the social aspect of VR with the VR experiences to create a complete learning environment and create a better reality for everyone.
