What Is US Foundry and Manufacturing?
U.S. Foundry's resourceful staff of customer service and sales representatives have a clear understanding of their primary objective, to provide superior customer service and exceed customer expectations. Each representative is ready to assist with information such as product availability, product status, unit pricing, and general information. Our computerized order entry and inventory control system provides instant information to respond effectively. Our four stocking branches (with more planned in the future) are located in Florida (Miami & Tampa), Georgia (Atlanta), and North Carolina (Greensboro Area). From our headquarters in Miami we manufacture our entire product line, service Florida, the Caribbean and Central America and ship stocking quantities to our three branch operations, staffed by trained US Foundry employees who can personalize their service to meet the customers unique needs in their respective territories. Sales representatives work with customers, engineers, municipalities and other government agencies to provide the support to service their customers' specific requirements. In fact, our sales staff is an extension of this group with the purpose of championing their community of customers' needs. Our U.S. Foundry shipping team of certified forklift operators, professional drivers, and knowledgeable office staff work with our fleet of trucks and other common carriers. This team is dedicated to provide you, the customer, with on time deliveries and well-identified, securely packaged loads. At U.S. Foundry our casting and fabricated products are fully engineered to meet your specifications. Whether through product development, drawing preparation and submittal, or providing technical support to our customers, our engineers are dedicated to providing the most timely and accurate customer service. Our engineers are involved in all stages of product development and manufacture and work to insure that all products meet your expectations every time. Through the years our craftsmen and engineers have specialized in making products for the municipal construction industry. Our foundry and manufacturing operations are continuously improved to produce the wide variety of products required to provide prompt service for our customers' needs. Our state of the art BMD molding center is capable of both high and low volume quantities. We can supply a full range of casting sizes with multiple product changes without affecting the speed of the molding operation. The semi-automatic and manual sandslinger molding centers give us the capability to offer a full range of lower volume larger size castings. Our Pattern Shop capabilities have been expanded from the traditional pattern manufacturing process with the addition of state-of-the-art computer aided design and computer integrated manufacturing equipment. These tools are used for developing today's modern castings and this new process can substantially reduce the lead-time for pattern manufacture. In order to meet our customers' demands for quality castings on a timely schedule, the Core Room Department upgraded their coremaking technologies improving both quality and quantity of cores. Our process includes Nova Set, shell, oil sand and we have also added Isocure. This gives us the capacity of producing cores from 1 oz. up to 155 lbs. This continuous effort to improve and maximize production has allowed us to better service our customers' needs. Preparing high quality metal for the production of our municipal castings is done in our environmentally friendly, computer integrated sixty-nine inch, water cooled cupola melting furnace. We can recycle 22 tons per hour of iron and steel scrap materials into municipal castings. Our castings finishing department can process 175 tons of castings per shift. Products are processed through "World Class" employee designed production cells. Through our Total Productive Maintenance Program each operator accepts ownership for the machines and equipment in his part of the cell. Exceptional quality, cost control, and customer service are the norm for our casting finishers. Our Plant Engineering / Maintenance units are the backbone of our Production support enabling us to be a World Class leader in the municipal casting industry, these departments are responsible to optimize and maintain all equipment in the foundry. Their expertise ranges from hydraulic and electrical applications to advanced automation systems. We are proud of their commitment to programs such as; Predictive Maintenance, Man-Machine Interface, Benchmarking and Total Productive Maintenance. Plant Engineering's vision and implementation of continuous improvement and Maintenance's goals of maximum uptime on all equipment is the glue that binds all of U.S. Foundry's production departments. All Office and Plant personnel are dedicated to the mission of our company, continuous improvement includes the team concept which drives all of us at U.S. Foundry toward our most important goals of superior customer service and customer satisfaction.
