Tubman is a multi-service agency with over 40 years of experience providing family crisis and support services, formed from the merger of Chrysalis, A Center for Women; Harriet Tubman Center; Family Violence Network; and ElderCare Rights Alliance. Our philosophy is rooted in our namesake and inspiration, Harriet Tubman. Facing unrelenting adversities, she advised others to simply, "Keep going..." \n \nEach year Tubman delivers accessible and effective services to about 25,000 women, men, youth and families who have experienced relationship violence, elder abuse, addiction, sexual exploitation or other forms of trauma. \n \nBuilt on a history of innovation, efficiency, and partnerships, Tubman offers countless ways to help. We provide safe shelter and transitional housing; legal services including Orders for Protection; mental and chemical health assessment, treatment and support; elder abuse services, caregiver education; parenting education and child care; youth programming and in-school violence prevention education; resource counseling, financial literacy and job readiness workshops; and community education and professional training.
