The Town of Sylvan Lake is a thriving community that has seen significant growth over the last 10 years. Sylvan Lake has been rated as one of the fastest growing rural community according to Statistics Canada, as well as one of Canada's youngest communities. Over the last five years the municipality has grown 20.3 per cent. The Town has a thriving business community that includes industrial, retail, office, service sector and tourism companies.\r\n\r\nThe City of Red Deer, with a population of more than 90,000, is only 15 minutes away and the Town has a trading area of over 2.5 million people. Sylvan Lake is also fortunate to be located at the centre of one of the most prosperous economic regions globally--the Edmonton-Calgary Corridor, with both major Cities and their numerous amenities an hour and half drive away, accessed easily via Highway 2.
