Thistle Seafoods is a family-owned, highly innovative, low-cost private label manufacturer of frozen and chilled coated and added value seafood products whose origins date back to 1947.\r\n\r\nNow based in a modern manufacturing base in Peterhead, Scotland, we are one of the largest independent seafood processors in the UK. The main part of our business is supplying chilled seafood products to retailers, although we do also have a sizeable frozen value-added business supplying Retail and Food Service companies both here in the UK and internationally.\r\n\r\nOur 75,000sq ft factory has six production lines with advanced portioning, pressure forming and shaping technology as well as a bulk sauce plant and packing line, with a freezing capacity of 100 tonnes per day. We employ more than 350 people at our 5.5 acre site, which also has an in-house micro-laboratory that has been approved by Campden & Chorleywood Food Research Association. All of the facilities are accredited to the highest BRC Grade A standards and there are extensive NPD, QC, laboratory and cold-storage facilities on site.\r\n\r\nThe company currently supplies major retailers and food service companies in the UK, as well as Europe, North America and Australia. \r\n\r\nAt Thistle Seafoods we pride ourselves on the quality of product, service level, flexibility and reliability. In addition we have a very proactive and highly successful development department, which monitors market trends, creating products to meet consumer and customer needs.
