Cutting carbon and tackling fuel poverty are two of the biggest challenges of the century. We need to make our homes fit for the 21st century and beyond if we are to deliver Net Zero targets by 2050 and end the choice between heating and eating. \n\nThe only way this can be achieved is by upgrading millions of homes to make them more energy-efficient through a process known as retrofitting. \n\nOver 27 million UK homes are in need of improvement through the installation of energy efficiency measures and renewable energy solutions. To decarbonise these homes, we need an army of retrofitters estimated to be 400,000 strong by the end of this decade – from specialist designers, coordinators, assessors and customer advisors to insulation installers. \n\nThe Retrofit Academy are the driving force in retrofit knowledge and skills: building the supply chain with government, industry & education providers.
