What Is The Resurrection Project?

The Resurrection Project (TRP) was founded in 1990 by six Catholic parishes to revitalize Pilsenone of Chicago's most distressed communities at the time. Today, TRP takes a holistic approach to creating healthy communities by: Developing and managing quality affordable housing and community centers; Providing free financial education and counseling services to help families build wealth, buy homes, and ultimately achieve financial independence; and Empowering the community through a variety of organizing initiatives and educational programs. TRP, which began with $30,000 in seed capital from its area parishes, has leveraged more than $346 million in community investments to empower more than 38,000 families, develop more than 600 affordable homes, and develop more than 180,000 sq. ft. of commercial real estate. Mission statement: To build relationships and challenge people to act on their faith and values to create healthy communities through organizing, education, and community development.
